The best way I can think of to describe "Psy-Ops" is basically, advertising. When you see a well done magazine ad or TV commercial, the advertiser wants you to believe that their product is the best one you can buy on the market. When you see all of this negative campaigning before the elections, it is the same thing. The candidates spend hundreds of thousands of dollars, to dig up dirt on their opponents and spend all of their time proclaiming the opponent's broken promises or dirty deeds while they make the promises that they themselves may or may not honor after they are elected.
False facial expressions while playing poker is psy-ops. The popular trend of gun control to protect our children and reduce crime is psy-ops. The advertised need for "Firearms Fingerprinting" so we can more easily track down a criminal sniper before he kills too many innocent people is psy-ops. Paying all of these taxes so we don't go to jail or loose everything, is a result of a long campaign of psy-ops.
The utopian idea of a One World Government is psy-ops. Sexual and cultural diversity acceptance through public education is psy-ops. A team of Detectives telling a suspect in an interrogation room that his buddy in the next room told them he did it, and if that's not true then he had better start talking about who really did it. That is psy-ops.
Propaganda posted everywhere by a dictator is psy-ops. Telling the American public that it is necessary to give up some of their obsolete and out-dated liberties for additional security against terrorism is psy-ops. Laying siege to a group of religious people and convincing the public that the leader and perhaps others within are molesting children so it is acceptable to burn them out and gun them down as they flee the flames, is psy-ops.
Reverse Psychology is where you suggest one thing hoping that the advise taker will do the opposite. "Do not look in this box!" What are you gonna do?
Yes you are all aware by now that the entire world operates with psychological operations to sway opinion, ideas or profit to their benefit. What you need to also be aware of is your ability to use psy-ops to benefit yourself. Dropping leaflets to let your occupied community know that it is OK to rise up against their captors and that they will not be alone in the fight is also psy-ops.
